Clinical Supervision

A warm and welcoming space for clinicians from all walks of life.

Welcome to Your Supervision Space

Whether you are new to the field and you are looking for your first supervisor or an experienced clinician and looking for a fresh perspective, I am so glad that you are here. I know it can be a daunting process to find a supervisor, and it may be hard to get a true sense of who I am as a supervisor, clinician and human from a website or a listing.  To share a little bit about myself; I have a deep love of theory and therapist identity development and this underpins all of my supervision work. I am very research and relationship driven as a clinician and supervisor. I love looking beyond the surface level of clinical work and digging deep into therapist identity and how you occupy the therapy space. I really prioritize building the supervision relationship and cultivating trust between us. I want every clinician who works with me to feel that they always have a judgement free space to share anything. I am fully present with whoever is in front of me and bring a grounded, warm and humorous energy to the supervision space. I show up to the supervision space fully and authentically myself with the hopes it will give each supervisee the space to do the same. I would absolutely love to hear from you and set up a no obligation consultation just to see if we could be a good fit for each other.

"Supervision is an opportunity to bring someone back to their own mind, to show them how good they can be."
-Nancy Kline

My Theoretical Approach to Supervision

Person-Centered

Rogers core principles of empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence forms the foundation of my approach to clinical supervision. In this framework, the supervisory relationship is central to the work we do in supervision. Through this lens I view myself as a compassionate companion and guide, while encouraging you to deepen your self-awareness and clinical approach. Pulling from this model really encourages the developing of your 'authentic therapist self.'

Systems Approach

This approach views the supervisee within the context of a multiple interconnected system, such as your personal life, the therapeutic relationships, and the cultural environment. This perspective recognizes that your development is influenced by various factors. Effective supervision involves exploring how these systems interact and impact both the your professional practice and personal well-being. By examining patters, dynamics, and contextual influences, this approach will help you gain a holistic understanding of your work.

Existential-Humanistic

This approach focuses on the deep exploration of meaning, authenticity, and personal responsibility within the therapeutic process. This approach encourages you to confront the existential challenges of your clinical practice, such as uncertainty, vulnerability and the search for meaning within your work. As a supervisor, I foster an open reflective space where you can explore your values, beliefs, and how these show up in the therapy space. This helps to develop more authenticity, meaning, and fullfilment within the clinical space.
